Susu: from WordPress to Webflow, building a new website the team runs on its own

Susu presents itself as the first health insurance service for loved ones living in Africa. Between late 2022 and early 2023, we built in Webflow its new website, designed by the Nébuleuse Creative agency, and brought over more than 100 pieces of content from its old WordPress site.

“Croissant integrated our new website into Webflow with great responsiveness, great attention to detail, and always with good humor and positivity despite last minute changes and technical hazards. I highly recommend them!”

Context: a new design, and a WordPress site that no longer kept up

Susu lets the African diaspora insure the health of loved ones back home. Its website ran on WordPress: slow, hard to update, and out of step with the brand.

The team had already had its identity and website redesigned by the Nébuleuse Creative agency. What remained was turning those Figma mockups into a fast website the team runs itself. That is the part it trusted us with.

Goals: change tools without losing anything, then hand back control

The migration had to:

  • Build Nébuleuse Creative's mockups faithfully, on desktop and mobile.
  • Bring over all the content from WordPress, with no loss of search rankings.
  • Make the team autonomous on offers, articles and product pages.

How we did it: build, migrate, hand over

1. A style guide in Webflow

Before any page, we set up Nébuleuse Creative's identity in Webflow: typefaces, colours, components. Every page then relies on these rules, which keeps the website consistent as the team evolves it.

2. More than 15 pages, built for desktop and mobile

We built the Figma mockups page by page, on desktop and mobile. A 301 redirect plan sends the old WordPress addresses to the new pages.

3. A CMS for offers and the blog

The CMS manages three collections: insurance offers (coverage, price, zones), product pages and blog articles. We brought more than 100 pieces of content over from WordPress, keeping their internal links and lightening the images.

Offers come from the CMS: the team can update them without a developer.

4. Training and 30 days of support

We trained the team in hands-on sessions: publishing an article, editing an offer, creating a product page. A written guide tailored to its website and 30 days of support after delivery completed the handover.

Results: a website true to the new design, that Susu runs on its own

  • More than 100 pieces of content brought over from WordPress, with a 301 redirect plan.
  • A website true to the mockups from Nébuleuse Creative, on desktop and mobile.
  • An autonomous team at handover: offers, articles and product pages are managed without a developer.
